I am open to the flow when it comes to healing deep core issues. After all, I’ve been chipping away at my deeper wounds for several decades, and it took several decades to increase the suffering from the wounds. Lately, my wounds have shown up in a long bout with I.B.S. so I headed to Bear Root Apothecary and Wellness Center in Port Townsend, Washington.
And btw, this healing shop is smack on a ley line that runs along Lawrence Street in Port Townsend. I asked the woman at the shop for meadowsweet herb. And then we began a conversation about the Solar Plexus and strengthening this Chakra. The woman showed me a deck of flower essence cards that I believe go with the F.E.S. remedies. I pulled two cards, the Purple Monkey Flower and the Pink Monkey Flower remedies. Since they are basically the same vibration, I chose the Pink Monkey Flower remedy.
Here is the description from the F.E.S. catalog
Mimulus lewisii (pink)
Positive qualities: Emotional transparency; courage to take emotional risks with others
Patterns of imbalance: Feelings of shame, guilt, or unworthiness; fear of exposure and rejection due to prior abuse or trauma
After I chose this remedy, the woman at the shop (sorry I did not ask her name), told me that the remedy would work best with my personal flower. She asked me if I knew my personal flower. I didn’t have a clue. I tried working with the cards again, but I just end up confused. So then, I decided to see if the flower would come to me in a dream. That night, I purposively asked my guides to reveal my personal flower to me. I dreamed of violets. And then, I received deeper confirmation by images of pansies (related to violet) and violets I saw throughout the following day.
Here is the F.E.S. description for Violet. (And yes, I tend to shrink like a violet in some social situations because I am an introvert and the INFJ personality type.
Viola odorata (violet-blue)
Positive qualities: Delicate, highly perceptive sensitivity, elevated spiritual perspective; socially responsive but self-contained
Patterns of imbalance: Profound shyness, cool and aloof, fear of being submerged in groups
I love the fact that violet came up instead of some of my other favorite flowers (rose, lavender, and poppies) because it reminds me of working with the Violet Flame and with Archangel Metatron.
I have a card deck that involves working with flower essences and angels but for now, let’s save that for a future post. I will end this post with a shout out to the late Astrologer Donna Cunningham who combined flower essences with her astrology practice. Perhaps, she is still mentoring me from beyond the veil. Donna Cunningham is the one the most nurturing (of talent) and generous metaphysical practitioners I’ve met to date. So, I will leave you with one of her blog posts from Sky Script on flower essences. And for those of you steeped in metaphysics, here’s another Sky Script post which is for those of you born between 1988 and 1990 (Donna truly loved your astrological group).
