Intuitive Coaching 101: What if You Could Avoid the Flu?

First, I’m not a medical doctor.  When people started catching viral infections in the household where I am currently residing, I went online to look for natural flu prevention. Normally, I apply and arsenal of elderberry drops, herbal teas, ginger, garlic, colloidal silver, and the 5 Thieves spray (eucalyptus, lemon, cinnamon, rosemary, and cloves oils mixed in purified water).

However, since this is a year when we are hit harder with epidemics, I wondered what other practices I could add to my regime, which is already intense. And I found articles on alkaline foods (keeping the body alkaline) and high-quality probiotics. Now, I discovered one video through Google in which a medical doctor who specializes in pediatrics and gastrointestinal health recommend a product called MD1 Platinum Probiotics. It is not an inexpensive product but it has good reviews.

I have thought of investing in this product because when we take a high-quality probiotic produced in a laboratory, with billions of bacteria, at least 11 strains and sub-strains, according to this MD, we also prevent our immune system from breaking down, we digest foods better (especially alkaline food), we avoid inflammation in our body and other benefits. I have come to believe that by combining the high-quality probiotic and keeping our bodies alkaline we can avoid coming down with colds and flus. We can probably even avoid food poisoning, but I don’t have evidence of this.

There are many alkaline foods we can purchase in health food stores (as opposed to buying them from Amazon) which include Mineral Greens, Chlorella, spirulina, wheat grass, seaweed, green vegetables, some types of berries, and you can look on these sites for more information which I found in an online search.

Dr. Axe

Avocado Ninja

The Alkaline Sisters

And here is a site for probiotics:

Women’s Health Magazine

I don’t trust this article 100% since magazines are not impartial sources of information and this is pretty mainstream.

Consumer Health Report

Remember the criteria of 11 strains of bacteria (billions or trillions), produced in a laboratory…when viewing this list.

Dr. David Williams

I am not familiar with this doctor but the information in the heading looks legitimate.

And if you don’t have a lot of money to spend on products, use kitchen remedies such as apple cider vinegar, raw honey, garlic, ginger root, parsley, cilantro, black pepper, miso (gluten-free varieties), medicinal mushrooms and supplements such as zinc, vitamin C, and vitamin D. Also, make sure that you take enough magnesium. This is another area where you want to take a high-quality product. I take ionic magnesium and my body readily absorbs it.

You don’t need to catch the flu just because your family members and friends do. And by passing on this information, they can avoid getting sick too. But do remember to slow down. Do remember to live a balanced life. Eat healthy, get enough rest, drink purified water, bless your food, and practice gratitude because that raises your spirit.

Stay well.

And feel free to leave comments for how you stay healthy during a season of epidemics.
