Intuitive Coaching 101–The Ascension Diet

dscn0922We’ve all heard about eating lighter as we evolve spiritually and physically. Many people are giving up meat and turning vegan. But even eating meat less and then eventually eliminating it from your diet or becoming a vegetarian helps with personal evolution.

You might have noticed that the foods that once filled you with delight and pleasure no longer serve that purpose. Don’t be alarmed if you find that you loathe food from your earlier years or from your culture. Take this as a sign that you are evolving or that you are undergoing the ascension process.

However, if you would like to speed up the process, consider giving up the following foods because they contain denser energies and impede your progress.

  • Animal products (meat, dairy, and eggs)
  • Processed sugar
  • Fruit juices (especially orange and apple juices unless they contain the whole fruits)
  • Commercial brand anything
  • Soda
  • Deep fried foods (sauteeing and stir fry are okay for now)
  • Dried fruits (exceptions are the superfoods but aren’t coated in oils)
  • Sunflower, safflower, canola, soy, and vegetable oils (bad, bad, bad)
  • All junk food (and no moderation is not healthy either)
  • Alcoholic beverages (yes, even the local craft beer and wine)
  • Preservatives (this is no-brainer)
  • Conventionally-grown grains, beans, nuts, vegetables and fruits (Mostly GMO)
  • Wheat and gluten (even if you can tolerate them)
  • And go easy on grains because they back up the intestines and colon

Now, some of you are going to complain and say that you cannot afford to eat healthier. And that just tells me that you have no faith in the manifestation process or that you can manifest the right healthy foods for an ascension path. Stop with the mantra, “I can’t afford it” and then pray that the healthiest foods come to you at just the right time and in the right way.

DSCN0927Let me tell you a story. When I first moved to Bellingham in 2011, I had no money. I didn’t know how I was going to feed myself, let alone, feed myself organic produce and healthier foods. Then a new friend who liked to garden and get her hands in the dirt, volunteered at an organic farm so that she could donate CSA produce to her mother and to me. At that time, I took this gesture of kindness for granted (sad to say it) but this is before I healed some deep wounds around receiving from others graciously.

The point is that God provides for each of us and if we set the intention to eat a healthy diet then the coupons and freebies show up. We arrive at the food coop or even a commercial grocery store and find that the foods we require are all on sale. Or a friend with an orchard leaves organic fruit on your doorstep. Or maybe you enjoy gardening and farming so you get involved with an urban or rural farm in exchange for food. Open your mind and open your heart and see what flows in. You are in the perfect place at the perfect time. Humans are intrinsically kind so watch for generosity and acts of kindness.

We must get past the lack mentality because the planet deserves that. She deserves our honor and respect which includes a knowingness in her abundance. Forget all this one percent and 99 percent because that is part of the lack mentality. Forget that we are losing our topsoils (which is true) and support organic agriculture to reverse the process. Learn as much as you can about diet, nutrition, and radical healthy approaches to agriculture. In fact, this is the year to do all those things. Join a grassroots community if you must but make sure it is based on love and not fear (survivalists represent lack and fear).

Find out what the ancients in your region ate. In the US and Canada, look to traditional Native American and First Nation diets (which will contradict the vegetarian diet, but at least you’ll learn about edible wild plants, mushrooms, and seaweed). Yes, we will run into conflicts with traditions versus a sustainable modern approach but we will find a way through this. As we develop our light bodies we will eat less food anyway.

This brings me to another point and I don’t want anyone to act like a food nazi over this point. As we develop our light bodies we must stop stuffing our bodies with food and often food stuff. I remember one time suffering from starvation (I had a sprained ankle and I couldn’t leave my apartment to get food and I had no money for food) and I thought of eating cardboard. And I would never recommend that, but I am bringing this up because much of the food stuff people consume has as much nutrition as cardboard–meaning people are eating garbage (and I’m talking about the food stuff people purchase at a grocery store).

Do as Michael Pollan once said, “Eat mostly vegetables.” And eat mostly superfoods which includes seeds and nuts as opposed to grain. Quinoa is actually a seed and not a grain. Buckwheat is not a grain either. Kale and brocoli contain protein. What we have been taught about food is 99 percent lies because what we have been taught about food has money attached to it (ie: greed).

Learn everything you can about alternative diets that resonate with you. But never treat your diet like a religion. And don’t kick yourself if you don’t stick to your regime. One step forward and two steps back is better than not walking the path at all. Use discernment always. And listen to your body. Become mindful of your eating and how it makes you feel. That is the true test. If you feel lighteness and joy then you are on the right dietary path.

Bonne appetite.
