Ceres, Santitos & Crystals (A Mother’s Loves Found in the Mineral Kingdom)

A movie I watched decades ago called Santitos, which features a mother who goes to great lengths to find a missing daughter, has come to mind. And in my mind I couple the goddess Ceres who lost her daughter, Persephone with the mother character from Santitos. Then consider Gaia, the mother of us all who is on a quest to rescue us from oblivion.

This is the way my metaphysical brain works. It looks for common themes and symbolism as it searches through my mind’s archives. I’m curious by nature so I have collected bits and pieces of information over the years ranging from fine and performing arts, to history, science, and strange occurrences. But underneath all of that, I’m on a quest for healing myself and others.

And on that quest, I’ve encountered the archetypes of mothers and daughters especially under the guise of Ceres-Demeter and Persephone-Kore. And I’ve also experienced energy from the greatest mother of us all, Gaia. On this healing journey, I have worked with plant-medicine for my own healing, sound frequencies, and crystals/gemstones from the mineral kingdom.

I don’t usually work with a single crystal, mainly because I’m so passionate about the uses and properties of all my stones and crystals. I enjoy pairing them or working with a set of 5 to 7 during Reiki and other energy-healing modalities. While each of us needs to figure out which pairs or sets of stones work best for us, here is a list of pairs to get you started.

For heart issues or healing issues in general, I like to work with green and pink stones. Rose quartz is my go-to pink stone but pink moss agate and other pink stones will also help with these issues.

Today, the pairing I’m coming up with is:

Rose quarts and green chert.

For brain or mental issues I prefer to work with white, blue, and purple stones. I find that fluorite and calcite are excellent stones for calming the mind and helping us become more mindful. However, lepidolite, dumortierite, and blue kyanite also calm the mind.

Today’s pair is:

Purple fluorite and blue calcite

For prosperity and abundance issues I like to work with green, yellow, and gold stones. Aventurine, citrine, pyrite, and jade are among my favorite stones to foster abundance.

Today’s pair is:

Green aventurine and citrine

Finally, the stones I prefer for Astral projection and travel are lapis lazuli, aquamarine, Merlinite, quantum quatro, super 7, Amzonite, and blue kyanite.

Today’s pair is:

Aquamarine and super 7

If you want to recall your dreams, then work with this pair:

Labradorite and amethyst

5 Reasons to Befriend Shadow Workers

With a title like that you probably think that I’m asking you to play on the darker side of life. I’m not. Shadow workers are on the planet as whistleblowers, true-tellers, and to blow the lid off personal lies we tell ourselves and lies floating around in the collective.

While most people flock to the light worker, often light workers are shadow workers in denial. Just because someone practices yoga, is certified in Reiki (all three levels), and works as a massage therapist, does not mean he/she isn’t a shadow worker. On the contrary. At time when nothing makes sense anymore, in walks the shadow worker to blow off the lid of the dark practices that have nearly destroyed the Earth.

I recently found a novel by John English called The Shift in a free library. I had never heard of the author who acted more as a spiritual channel for the book and not a literary artist. The novel was published in 2003 but speaks of the times we currently reside. The story, in some ways, reminds me of The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield, a well-known author but not a literary artist either, not that it matters at this point. Both Redfield and English are shadow workers and their work is important to read, especially as we stand on the precipice of ascension versus world destruction.

Shadow workers are legion. They are in every industry and in every neighborhood. And here are 5 reasons to befriend a shadow worker or if you are one yourself, to fully accept this role bestowed upon you.

  1. Someone needs to tell you the truth

That’s right. If you go along blindly with the mainstream narratives told to you by the pseudo-news entertainment (even people who work for broadcast news have said the news is entertainment), then you are walking down a blind alley. Your life is in peril, not just danger. You’re in danger of losing your personal rights. The shadow worker will point this out. You might squirm and wiggle your way out of that conversation.

However, the truth shall set you free. The shadow worker would never lie to you or gas light you. If you’re dealing with a gas lighter then walk away. A shadow worker is sworn to the truth. They made a vow before arriving on the Earth to play that role at this time.

2. The shadow worker will support you in your time of need

Nothing is too dark or crazy for the shadow worker. Depending on their expertise, they work in the fields of shamanism, hospice care, or in professions most people fear. They will help a sick friend (even someone with a contagious disease). They don’t change the topic when you talk about your disease. They won’t turn you away because you have cancer. They will lend an ear. They will make sure you are properly nourished, including the nourishment of your soul. Shadow workers are loyal and trustworthy.

3. Shadow workers don’t mince words and they get to the point

When the blank hits the fan and you’re standing on your last leg, shadow workers will help you take responsibility for what is yours and they will help you fight your enemies. They won’t allow you to act like a victim or play the role of a martyr. They will help you find your strength. However, since we are running out of time to shift the energies on the planet, these folks won’t engage in flowery language. They get straight the point and they’ll cut through the dung (metaphorically).

4. Shadow workers are natural channels/mediums

You ever wonder where your friend comes up with solutions? It’s like they are downloading from God/Source or that angels whisper the right words and actions into their ears. This is because shadow workers channel solutions and actions to take. They seem like first responders both in the spiritual and the physical sense because they are. Most shadow workers are actually fearless or become so.

5. Shadow workers lift us up

Don’t underestimate a shadow worker’s sense of humor. They are also creative storytellers and gifted speakers. They write the books we need to read whether those books are well-written in the literary sense or not. It’s the message that counts and not the typos or misuse of adjectives. Step away from your egos and don’t get trapped in industry standards that were set too high in the first place. Don’t shoot the messenger but take the message to heart. It could save your life.

If you are a shadow worker or know of one, please leave your comments below. I am a shadow worker and I need your support. Unfortunately, shadow workers don’t receive the same popularity online as their light worker cousins.

Integrity of a Reiki Master

Anyone can spend a weekend or a series of weekends becoming trained and attuned to Reiki. It’s the daily practice, even during hard times, that creates a true Reiki Master.

Photo by Mikhail Nilov on Pexels.com

It’s true the label Reiki Master shows up in spiritual circle conversations. It shows up on YouTube videos, websites, blogs, and magazine articles. But what makes some one a true master and what makes someone a pretender (even when they received training)?

Reiki already raises eyebrows of skepticism among non-believers. So, then why not walk the Reiki talk instead of just talk it? What I mean by that is a true Reiki Master practices Reiki every day and that includes carving out at least 30 minutes per day to give him or herself a Reiki treatment. You can also end the day with a brief Reiki treatment or a Reiki shower.

It’s not enough to hang a Reiki symbol in an office or to wear a T-shirt with the chakras emblazed on it. A true master shows up no matter what his or her circumstances are. A Reiki Master might be homeless but still find the time to practice Reiki (I have). All you need is a clear mind and Reiki hands. You can even treat yourself with Reiki while you sleep.

Another way a Reiki Master shows up is to practice the 5 Reiki Principles which include trusting no matter what the circumstances are, we can trust a higher power to help us along our path. We resolve the anger that comes up. Just for today…I’ll resolve my anger. This doesn’t mean we never feel anger, it just means we resolve it mindfully.

We also practice gratitude and respond to life circumstance and others with honestly and kindness. These are actually the principles any spiritual master followed but worded differently for each religion and spiritual path. Another one we can add to the list is to do no harm or to do the least amount of harm since doing no harm is impossible.

A true Reiki Master is conscientious and mindful of his or her actions. While it might not always be possible to recycle, compost, or over consume natural resources, we must still make mindful choices. This includes our diets and daily habits (why do I witness Reiki Masters smoking?) And it’s never easy to heal the addiction from consumerism or outer distractions.

This brings me to meditation and spiritual exploration which are both part of the Reiki Masters journey. This brings me to the path of a Reiki Master. It’s not going to be without challenges. But the transformation that occurs when practicing Reiki every day is profound. We will never know how far our Reiki signals ripple out. We’ll never know to the full extent our hands bringing healing to the world. And that healing occurs when we give Reiki to ourselves and then to others.

Finally, Reiki isn’t a trend to follow. It’s a spiritual calling that should not be taken lightly. When we feel our energy waning or we grow bored with our practice, it’s time to take a workshop or join a Reiki circle. And if the group leaves you feeling discomfort then at least pick up books on Reiki (and not just for reading).

Never take Reiki lightly because you are pulling in unconditional love or the Universal Life Force, also known as chi, qi, or prana. As a Reiki Master you become a conduit for healing to take place on the planet. You are the light in a time of darkness.

If Reiki is your true calling you will commit to it and dedicate a portion of your life to energy-healing. You will find that crystals, and other tools draw themselves to you. Reiki transforms the practitioner in so many ways and in all areas of life.

Become the Master.

5 Tips for Self-Nurturing When You are Shelter-less

The last thing you think of when you’re in the survival mode is self-care. However, it’s the first practice that comes to mind for people who are living in between homes. Yet, it’s a challenge to eat healthy (eat at all sometimes), get rest, and meditate.

Photo by Kelly L on Pexels.com

I’ve lived between homes three times since September 2014. I have also lived with relatives but at least there I had my own room. There are times when I didn’t have access to a kitchen, a clean bathroom, or even a quiet space to rest.

I’ve lived in attics, grungy basements, temporary rentals, and hotel rooms. I have not lived in a tent or a car but the folks who do must practice self-care even under the most challenging circumstances.

5 Tips For Self-Care For People Who are Homeless

  1. Advocate for yourself

That’s even with advocates because you could get lost in the system given the number of homeless people at this time. Speaking up for yourself, setting boundaries, and saying no to uncomfortable situations is key.

2. Make sure you get adequate nutrition

This practice is the most challenging when you don’t have access to a stove, a fridge, or a place to store your food. Often, you have to buy already prepared foods which isn’t always healthy. Or you eat foods that are high in sodium, bad fats, or overloaded with sugar. This just leads to mood swings and weight gain.

See if you can find a friend or colleague who will allow you to cook meals at their home and store your food in their fridge. Or stay at temporary places that at least have some kind of a cooker and mini-fridge. This isn’t always possible but you might get lucky. Some foods you can carry in your pack such as dried and fresh fruit, nuts, seeds, and protein powder packets.

Carry the basic supplements to ensure that you take the proper vitamins each day. This includes Vitamin D3, Magnesium (helps with stress), B12 (if you eat a plant-based diet), Vitamin C and so on. Keeping your body strength is crucial during times of high stress.

3. Find a Safe, Comfortable, and Quiet Place to Rest

You might not find a single place to stay. Perhaps, you rotate from different couches or sleep in a tent on some nights and couch surf on another night. Or perhaps, you are fortunate to have money to spend on a hotel or temporary rental. It’s absolutely important that you have this space to sleep.

Swallow your pride and ask your friends and colleagues for help. If they scoff at you or give you the cold shoulder than at least you know they aren’t true friends. It’s the times when we go through hardships that we weed out fake friends.

4. Buy Something for Yourself to Cheer up Your Inner Child

Your Inner Child is freaking out. This could cause you to feel irritated, annoyed, angry, sad, or in a rage. Buy your Inner Child something small even a colorful rock or a $1.00 coloring book and colored pencils. Or at least to take some time to do something delightful even if you think you should be looking for work or a home to rent.

You will have a better chance at landing a job or new home if you are in a good mood. So, appease the Inner Child and then be diligent in your search.

5. Find Work You Can do on Your Laptop

When you’re searching for a permanent home, you still need to earn money. But you need work that is flexible and that pays well. Look for remote jobs on LinkedIn or Indeed. Often these jobs pay you electronically such as through PayPal.

However, don’t accept a job with a writing mill but do find writing or tech jobs with legitimate companies that tell you their pay up front. It’s best to take a part-time remote job rather than a contract job. Or you can do what I’m doing which is to sign up with multiple editors of magazines and newspapers.

Reiki During Homelessness

Just because someone is attuned to Reiki doesn’t mean that life’s challenges won’t occur. Some Reiki practitioners are light workers and others are shadow workers. Shadow workers live wretched lives but having said that, shadow workers are candidates for Full Mastership.

Photo by Mikhail Nilov on Pexels.com

Buddha was a light worker; Jesus was a shadow worker. The martyred saints worked the shadows, were persecuted, and became masters through forgiving those people who persecuted them.

My Reiki self-practice is more important than ever. It helps me stay calm during the most challenging days. No one is immune to the tragic and heartless situations happening on the planet at this time. And while we focus on the ascension, there are some darker moments along the way and still to come for each of us. What matters is how we show up and handle those situations. I’m currently homeless and I’m using Reiki to see me through to a miraculous conclusion.

A modality or spiritual tool is only as good as it stands the test of challenges and time. Reiki celebrates its 100 year anniversary so it’s standing the test of time. Reiki practitioners will also give credit to Reiki for getting them out of tight spots–which it does well. We must remember to practice Reiki on ourselves and our circumstances every day. We must also pray and meditate every day and not just when life circumstances are in the flow.

I’m going to explore the 5 Principles of Reiki and how those principles apply to anyone going through a catastrophic illness, homelessness, or who are feeling persecuted by others. This is one of the darkest times in the history of humanity but we can gain wisdom and strength as we face our challenges. (By the way, if yoga is your practice then use those precepts instead of the Reiki principles).

Just for today, I trust…

Oh, this one is so hard when life circumstance head south. Trust runs and exits stage left. This is when we must surrender to a higher power, but what if we believe that the higher power doesn’t love us? What if we feel outraged at the higher power because we have fallen into the role of a victim or martyr?

Our ego wants to control everything but there comes a point where we completely lost control. No matter how hard we try; no matter how much determination and will power we bring to our circumstances, we can’t move the mountain that blocks our way. So, we learn how to trust in the higher power. And we learn how to forgive so that we can trust the higher power.

A friend and colleague of mine tells me that once we surrender that’s when the miracles show up. She has seen this happen in her clients’ and friends’ lives. She has seen it happen in her own life.

But for me, trust offers me my greatest challenge. I’ve been let down, rejected, and abandoned numerous times by the people I trusted. I have felt rejected by God even though I know also that is an illusion because God doesn’t reject anyone. It’s the monkey mind that has us believe in a petty God. But God is unconditional love. Unconditional love doesn’t pick and choose who to love. Unconditional love embraces all that is, including each of us. So, yes. . . Trust.

Just for today, I resolve my anger…

Resolving anger doesn’t mean we push the anger away and plaster a false smile on our face. It doesn’t mean that we pretend to be at peace when rage burns through our veins and sends smoke signals out from our hearts. Resolving anger is feeling it and allowing it to burn through every cell of our bodies. The anger will resolve itself once it is listened to and acknowledged.

For me, I often find childhood roots in the anger. This doesn’t mean I berate my parents or people from my past. What good would that do? It suggests that by re-parenting myself during those situations I revisited I liberate myself through understanding and forgiveness.

But don’t travel that new age route where anger is seen as toxic and negative. If you go that route, you’ll just stuff the anger and everyone will feel it anyway, even when you speak in a soft voice. A soft voice laced with anger sounds like a hissing serpent. No, feel the anger. Allow it to rip through you. Anger won’t destroy you because all emotions teach us and eventually heal us. Yes, by feeling the anger and then resolving it, we are two steps closer to mastership. Masters experienced anger and then they transmuted that anger into peace.

Just for today, I’m honest…

It’s easy to live in integrity and communicate honestly when life is buzzing along and we’re full of joy. However, when life circumstances turn for the worst, many people become dishonest. They steal from others. They gaslight others. They lie because they can’t face their own vulnerability. People lie to get social services or into temporary housing (such as saying they aren’t a felon when they spent time in prison).

When the going gets tough people lie to others so that they get their needs met. And while I can’t blame anyone for their desperate acts, honesty is always the best policy, and not just because of karma.

There will even be professionals who will encourage a homeless or sick person to lie so that they are able to get help from the system. This is because the system is corrupt and based on lies. Then system and its many structures won’t solve anyone’s problems. The System created the problems because the System was created from ego and not guided by God.

However, when we connect to the God Source or Reiki (Universal Life Force), miracles are possible. Don’t be part of the system. Defy it. Walk the path of honesty and integrity. That’s what’s going to bring miracles. Honesty will save you from darker circumstances in the future.

Even if you feel embarrassed or helpless from your situation (God, knows I feel ashamed of my current circumstances) face the bullies which are just your thoughts and not reality. Be the best person you can be in this moment and in the next moment, and so on. Just for today, practice honesty.

Just for today. . . I am grateful

Yes, I get it, what would we feel grateful for if we spent a night sleeping in a shelter, or on the street, or on someone’s couch, or in a car? Why would we feel grateful for disappointing news or rejection? Why would we feel grateful for being cast aside and rendered invisible? Why would we feel grateful when people who could loan us a couch tell us to go stay at a homeless shelter (which is pretty rough and dangerous)?

However, even in the darkest moments when we feel like completing giving up, a kind person appears or maybe he or she is an angel. I’ve had that happen. None of us will walk this Earth journey without experiencing suffering in one form or another. We can philosophize all we want but our analytical brain is not going to save the day. Tapping into our heart will.

We tap into our hearts when we find even the smallest thing to shower gratitude upon. Did you have a bed to sleep in last night? Did you have a safe place to park your van or car? Were you able to have a hot shower? Were you able to get a ride to your doctor’s office or urgent care? Did someone give you a hug? Were you able to find food to nourish you? Even when circumstances are the furthest from ideal, there is still a nugget of good. There is still light flowing in from the crack as Rumi wrote.

Until you have hit rock bottom, you don’t realize all the things you took for granted. And when we take things for granted we grow complacent and then we grow bored. Sometimes life brings us challenges to create momentum in a new direction. But no matter our circumstances, even a little gratitude goes a long way. It’s healing for our hearts.

Just for today. . . I’m kind to myself and others.

It’s too easy to lash out at others when we feel hurt or frustrated by our life circumstances. It’s easy to shout at someone who mirrors or projects a shadow back at us, especially when we’re immersed in shadow land.

And we also hunger and thirst from the kindness of others when given the current world energy, we might not witness kindness. People are often kinder when their lives are clomping along and everything falls into place for them. People are kinder when they are in love with someone or adore their children or beautiful home. But when you take all those outer circumstances away, some people become vicious. They promote the idea that it’s a dog-eat-dog world or every person for themselves.

But climbing over dead bodies leads to humanity heading towards hell or the lower dimensions and not ascension. Jesus did not ascend after spitting or cursing his enemies. He did not seek revenge and instead he practiced forgiveness because he saw the bigger picture. If he had chosen not to forgive he would not have ascended and become a Master Teacher and Healer. Healers don’t seek revenge because they see the wounds and heal them. Having said that, most of us aren’t masters and we will miss the mark.

As Reiki practitioners we often call ourselves energy-healers. This is why practicing the principles is crucial on our good days and our worst weeks. The other trap to avoid is allowing our minds to return to the past and make a list of all the insufferable times in our lives. That just leads to depression and desperation. We have all evolved or we wouldn’t be practicing Reiki. It’s better to see all the darkness as revealing our true work. And yes, we aren’t immune to disease, loss, death, homelessness, or insufferable circumstances.

The caveat is that Reiki will shine a light on us and act as a bridge from less desirable experiences to living our dream. And I remind myself daily that the darkest hour is right before dawn. This isn’t just a saying. If you stay up the whole night you will actually notice the sky darken before the sun rises at dawn.

5 Things to Do That Your Dog Loves

One of the questions animal communicators receive is, “Does my dog love me?” And it’s not only animal communicators who receive this question. The other question is, “What can I do for my dog to tell him I love him?

Well, here is a list of 5 things you can do for your dog that will win him/her over for life.

  1. Take your dog for a walk every day

Some dogs such as high-energy dogs need more than just one short walk around the block per day. Depending on your dog’s physical needs, he/she might need to go to a off-leash area to run. Your dog might need to run on trails or on a beach. In the very least, your dog needs to go for walks more than one time a day. Three times a day works best, depending on the age and condition of the dog.

Some dogs also enjoy going to the dog park which combines socializing with other dogs and exercise.

2. Let your dog test his/her nose out when you are outdoors

Dogs love to use their nose. They enjoy sniffing the various scents that other dogs leave behind. If you have a nose hound then you can double the time and enjoyment that your dog needs to use his/her nose.

One trick that I love to do, is to hide dog treats or pieces of food (that is healthy for dogs) in a yard and then let the dog find the treats. This is a good exercise to keep the dog’s scent abilities sharp. And since the nose is connected to the dog’s brain in ways we can’t even imagine, this keeps the dog’s brain sharp too. Plus, your dog enjoys using his/her nose. Hearing and scent are their two greatest assets.

3. Keep the levels of noise low in the household and in the car

I can’t emphasize the power of a dog’s hearing and the frequencies they hear that humans don’t hear. You might not have a good sense of hearing or maybe you lost your hearing in different ranges, but your dog, unless he’s deaf, hears just fine.

Do not blast your TV, stereo, or computer because this harms your dog’s nervous system (and yours). Keep your dog away from fireworks and loud situations. Some dogs have fallen to their death off balconies to get away from noise of firecrackers, for instance. People forget about their dog’s sensitive hearing around certain holidays.

Finally, don’t take your dog to outdoor music festival unless the festivals are on the quieter as in acoustic side. You might enjoy hanging out in the hot sun and listening to loud music, but your dog does not. I’ve had many people tell me to mind my own business but my business is ensuring the well-being of non-humans. So…if you don’t listen, you’ll hear me lecturing you like a stern mother.

4. Practice mindfulness

I’ve already posted two articles on mindfulness and pets on this blog so I won’t go into details. However, when you become mindful of your actions and your state of mind this goes a long ways to creating peace in your pets’ lives. It sounds so simple but it is profound.

5. Live in the moment and don’t fear death

Many of us are so fearful of death and endings that we fail to live. We’re not truly alive if we fear disease, injuries, accidents, and the end of the world. When we are stressed we pass on that stress to our dogs. We do this unintentionally but we still do it.

Be here now, as the saying goes. This isn’t just a slogan to splash across a new age T-shirt. Your dog isn’t living in the future or regretting the past. It’s not that they don’t have memories or that they aren’t thinking of their next cookie or walk, it’s just that dogs live in the moment. Every minute counts when your life is short and for larger breed dogs that life span is only 6 to 7 years long. So, live this day as if it is your last and make every moment with your dog count.

If you follow the above advice you’ll foster reciprocated love from your dog. We learn lessons from our animal companions but we first need to set the foundation so that those lessons are pleasant ones.

5 Benefits of Hiring an Animal Psychic

I wonder if pet owners think of animal psychics as a luxury only for affluent people. And yet, pet owners will spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on fancy collars, decorative clothing, and more toys than a dog or cat could ever need or enjoy. Hiring an animal communicator is right up there with hiring a groomer or a trainer in that your animal desires to be heard and validated. Your pet’s overall well-being hinges with healthy communication.

Photo by Yaroslav Shuraev on Pexels.com

Here are 5 benefits for you and your pet:

  1. Prevents your dog, cat, or other pet from ending up in a shelter or being euthanized due to a solvable problem.

I don’t have any statistics to share but animal shelters fill up with pets with problems. These problems range from destructive behaviors related to separation anxiety and boredom to aggression (which can often be resolved with a trainer and an animal communicator in combination). Before dumping the dog or cat off at a shelter (where it might be euthanized), hire an animal communicator and get to the bottom of the issue. Save an animal’s life.

2. Animal communicators teach pet owners animal communication skills

Some animal communicators are also teachers who share communication tools with the pet owners. While the pet owner won’t transform into a professional animal communicator they will learn to read their companion animal’s moods and learn to employ basic telepathy with their pet. Trust me, that skill alone is worth the fee the animal communicator charges.

3. Animal communicators not only help to transform unwanted behaviors in a pet, but they also transform unwanted behaviors in the pet owner.

Animals are always communicating to us. They often do this through unwanted behavior when we miss the subtle cues. For instance, if a dog has a biting or aggression problem, this most likely escalated over a period of time with the pet owner missing the cues. Once I learned the signs of anxiety in a dog, I notice them everywhere.

This includes licking lips out of context, yawning when they’re not tired, excessive panting when it’s not hot and the dog hasn’t been active, pacing, walking in circles, the tail facing downwards and stuck between the legs. Then there is the “whale eye” where you see the whites of the dog’s eyes.

At this point I recommend hiring an animal communicator to ease the dog’s concerns. When the signs of anxiety increase that is a sign that one, the pet owner hasn’t paid attention to the signs and two, the animal does not feel heard. It’s also a good idea to watch videos about the ways our animal companions communicate non-verbally with us.

4. Animal communicators help animals through transitions, especially when they have lost a loved companion.

Just like humans, animals grieve the loss of their human and animal companions. They also grieve the loss of a home or secure situation. Imagine losing your caretaker and also ending up at an animal shelter. No wonder these animals sink into depression.

While most shelters don’t have the funding to hire an animal communicator, donations going towards hiring an animal communicator for a despondent animal helps that animal get adopted into a loving home. Why not start a fund to help shelters hire animal communicators (who often work for free but in this economy is not a good idea).

5. Animal communicators help the animals transition into the afterlife

There are some animal communicators such as myself that enjoys the hospice aspect of communicating with an animal. Our pets have last wishes and they also want to communicate their love and gratitude to us for the care we provided them.

So often pet owners dread the day of their pet’s death or they give the pet away when he or she begins the aging process. They are missing the lessons and deeper experiences of sharing a life with an animal. Face it, we all die but death can become a sacred and meaningful experience. Don’t dismiss death because it’s sad. It’s certainly not a negative experience and it is a good time to show love to the one who is leaving their physical body (and not just with animals). We evolve in consciousness when we provide this bridge.

The biggest regret a pet owner has is not being there with the animal as he or she passed into spirit. Animals want us to hold them or at least hold their paws as they make the transition. They have given so many gifts to us during our time with them. So, why not give the animal companions support when they leave their physical body and enter the world of spirit?

Animal communicators offer a bridge between the human and the animal as well as, the physical and the spiritual realms. Animal communicators exist in between realms when they communicate with animals (they go into a light trance). Some animal communicators can also connect with the pet in spirit and relay messages back to the family of the pet. That’s a precious gift that brings resolution and peace of mind!

I understand that some people still view animal communicators as a novelty act. And part of this stems from animal communicators appearing on popular talk shows or boasting about the celebrities they have as clients leading the everyday person to assume they can’t afford an animal communicator.

In the end, none of that matters. Most animal communicators in my opinion did not go into the profession to rub elbows with the rich and powerful. We simply love animals and communicate with them. It’s a gift we have and we would like to share it with you.

I keep my fees affordable so that more animals and their human companions can experience the benefits of an animal communicator. I work with photographs of the animals as opposed to working with the animals in person. I work with clients from across North America and some European countries (although I prefer to work with clients in North America).

Check out my Animal Reiki page if you’re interested in having me communicate with your animal companion. You can also find me on Petworks.

Bonding with Your Pet Through Mindfulness Part 2

Since the part one article for Bonding with Your Pet through Mindfulness attracted so much attention, here is part 2.

I believe that animals have already ascended. I believe that the Earth has ascended too. The Earth and the animals are helping us to ascend. This does mean that we must spend more time in the natural realm and more time meditating. The animals, especially in the wild or seen as urban wildlife are the ones most likely to help us ascend.

They teach us mindfulness by forcing us to slow down and take a breath along with them. They show up as omen, signs, and synchronicity. If you’re not familiar with these terms, then it’s time to read Ted Andrews classic, Animal Speak. Although the book was published decades ago, and Ted is no longer with us in the living, it’s the best resource for learning about animal spirits and animal communication.

There are practices that help us to bond with our pets too. We can practice yoga with a dog or cat for instance or we can practice Reiki in the same room with our pets. I realize that not everyone is attuned to the Reiki energy. However, I paid $20 for an Udemy course that was on sale to learn three levels of Reiki. So, it can be done. And to work with animals or pets, you would only need to learn the first level.

Of course, Reiki isn’t the only means to build a mindfulness routine with your pet. A simple sit down meditation and syncing your breathing with your pet also does the trick or taking the dog for a walk in a natural area also works. If you garden you might allow your pets to sit in the garden with you while you work. Or perhaps, going on a camping trip or hiking does the trick for you.

Developing mindfulness with you animal companion enriches your life beyond what you can imagine. Humans and animals go back thousands of years, if not millions. However, we have lost that deeper connection with the natural world, especially due to the amount of time we spend on electronic devices. And speaking of electronic devices, leave them at home when you spend quality time with your pets.
