Would you like to learn astrology? I use imagery, tuning forks, and we explore the charts of iconic people whose charts have good bones.
Basic Astrology
This class includes five one-hour lessons via Zoom. We delve into the ten planets, 12 houses, 12 Zodiac Signs and what this all means in a Natal Chart. By the end of this class, students should have a basic grasp of reading an astrology chart. They can take the chart apart and then puzzle piece it back together while also creating a narrative.
Your homework includes chart exploration and responding to study questions. The final is an essay on a single astrology chart–elaborating on themes and narratives for the personality behind the chart.

Class One
In this class, we explore the Ascendant, the 12 Houses, signs on cusps, the chart ruler, and what happens when a planet is in 5 degrees of the Ascendant.
Class Two
In this class, we delve into the personal planets, (Sun through Mars). I give each of the planets personalities with drives, needs, attitudes, and shadows.
Class Three
Now, we study the transpersonal planets (Jupiter and Saturn) and outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto). These planets represent large swaths of people born around the same time. So, Pluto and Neptune are generational markers and then also foretell trends.
We look at the way the transpersonal and outer planets blend with an Ascendant when its in within a 5 degree orb of the Ascendant. (Many of my clients have had planets near their Ascendants).
Class Four
We put all the pieces together to create narratives and themes for the iconic figures in the astrology charts. And we put the pieces together by using squares, trines, sextiles, and oppositions. And we look at the elements of Fire, Earth, Water, and Air and how those shape a person. We also look at the qualities Mutable, Fixed, and Cardinal and the meaning of those.
Class Five
We review the themes, elements, qualities, planets, houses, configurations, aspects, and Zodiac Signs. I open up the second half of the class to respond to student questions.
The final is an essay on an iconic chart.

It is the student’s responsibility to show up on the Zoom call at start time. Unfortunately, at this time, Zoom only offers 40 minute (not 60 minute) time slots. The class will either continue with another Zoom session (save the links) or a 20 minute phone call.
